Post subject:  PortMidi "Host Error"

After my own research I have come to no conclusion for connecting my Bitstream to my computer. I continue to get the PortMidi "Host Error" when trying to connect to the BS3X in the configuration software. The following are things that I have tried:

I had a Logitech web cam that I removed including editing the registry:

HKEY LOCAL MACHINE /SYSTEM /CurrentControlset /Control /Class / {6BDD1FC6-810F-11DO-BEC7-08002BE2092F}
delete the "LowerFilters" item.

HKEY LOCAL MACHINE /SYSTEM /CurrentControlset /Control /Class / {6BDD1FC5-810F-11DO-BEC7-08002BE2092F}
delete the "UpperFilters" item.

HKEY LOCAL /MACHINE /SYSTEM /CurrentControlset /Control /Class/
searched for "LVUSBSTA". any time this is found in the "Control / Class" area of the registry, only delete the "LowerFilters" item
(which is where LVUSBSTA will be found).

I edited the registry for 4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318. There I added a new Multi-String Value "UpperFilters" with data "ksthunk".

Deleted all of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32 midi, midi1, midi2 enteries.

In the device manager I set it up to "show hidden devices" and removed any unused usb and midi devices.

I installed Windows hotFix 500742.

Turn of processes that use MIDI ports, which is from my RME card:
Hammerfall DSP
Totalmix

About the computer I have this connected to:
Dell Precision 690
Windows 7 pro 64bit
dual Xeon quad core
RME HDSP9652
USB cable is connected to main usb ports and not from my USB pcie card ports.
I do use a corded Logitech trackman mouse but I have only heard that the cordless ones could also cause problems like the webcams.

I have not found any other solutions.

Now I need HELP!

Thanks
